We’ve been tailgating all this Switch 2 news for weeks, seeing a wide assortment of leaks and renders. Now, we’re finally getting a taste of what claims to be an official mock-up of the Switch 2 in the flesh. Accessory maker Genki brought their version to CES, showing off their upcoming accessories on what they say is modeled after the real hardware.

The mock-up confirms a lot of what we’ve been hearing – those new magnetic Joy-Cons are replacing the rail system, and yep, the screen’s a bit bigger than the original Switch. The sturdy kickstand design is sticking around too, with a U-shaped stand similar to what we got with the OLED model.
This isn’t just another random leak either. Genki’s one of the bigger Switch accessory makers, and they’re putting their reputation on the line showing this off at CES. It lines up with what Dbrand’s been working with for their decals, and matches those certification photos that Reddit user NextHandheld’s been sharing of the dock and Joy-Con parts.
Speaking of the dock, it’s keeping things pretty familiar – same port setup as before with two USB-A, ethernet, USB-C, and HDMI. The pre-production unit’s got a simple “Switch 2” logo slapped on it, which honestly tracks with Nintendo’s straightforward naming lately.
While Nintendo’s still playing quiet, seeing actual mock-ups at CES feels different than all these digital leaks we’ve been getting. January reveal looking more likely by the day, wouldn’t you say?
